our story

The founder of the modern jungle grew up loving plants, he abdicates that largely to his mother and grand mother who had many tropical plants in the houses he grew up in. He remembers always wanting to have his own plants but not wanting to ask his mother or grand mother for any so he would often go into the woods by his house and bring home a wild plant. He never intended to start a plant shop, but as life would have it he would be coursed into just that. After graduating from high school he moved back to colorado where his sister wanted to open a floral shop. Enticed by the idea of working with flowers instead of a regular job he decided to join his sister and open a floral shop called FLORERIA CELESTE. It was at this shop he decided to bring in some house plants to also sell along with the flower arrangements. After a year the space became too crowded for both flowers and plants, so he decided to start a new business. And so THE MODERN JUNGLE was born. He has a dream to one day grow all sorts of species that he can share with the world so they can see the beauty he sees in them, hopefully inspiring them to love nature as much as he does and want to cherish it and care for it in any way they can.
